Come and help VA Alley #3 celebrate 5 decades of clowning! Every day we will celebrate another decade from the 60’s til now.

Great music – some of it… Great fashion – that’s questionable… and political events that shaped history. You better study up because there will be a trivia contest every day with a cash prize and you can’t use Google!

Of course there is going to be great education and vendors for shopping! Pricilla Mooseburger and Julia Bothum are the headliners.  Of course you know you can get all of your costumes and accessories from Pricilla but she will be teaching us about costuming, character development and skits.  Julia will be teaching us about clowning with an instrument, meeting and greeting and comic movement.  Together they both are going to be teaching us about makeup.  That covers so much I feel like we could almost stop there!

We have two magicians, Dave and Dana Hill, they are a unit so they count as one.  There is also Fred Baisch.  We have Paula Biggio, Mary Anne Ross from Clown Supplies, Roy Stone from Jamstone Magic who does name tags, backdrops and other signage, Tal Thompson who sells and teaches glitter tattoos, Gene Cordova who teaches and sell puppets, Lee Andrews from Bubba's Clown Supplies.  We also have Sara Kreutz teaching us how to properly use bubbles, our very own Christopher Hudert, Bob and Teresa Gretton and Nicole Portwood teaching.  We are looking for balloon instructors for all the twisters out there.

It is not too early to start thinking about your costume for the "Everything is Groovy" party on Friday night.  Come as your favorite person or celebrity from the 60's to now or just in your favorite decades attire.  There will be a costume contest with prizes.  Stay tuned for details on the table decorating contest as well.

Be sure to bring something nice to wear to the banquet on Saturday night.  If you win you want to look nice to get up and receive your award.  If you have friends who compete you want to look nice in the pictures they take when you help them celebrate their success.  By the way, if you are competing be sure and check the website for changes in competition rules.  We recently updating them so be sure to read them carefully.

The rate has gone up to $195 and will be there until January 31st.  Be sure to register at the hotel and you need to use the code COA to get our convention rate of $104/night.
